Gediminas Mažeika, the Head of the energy infrastructure development and maintenance company Tetas, has resigned and finished his work at the company on Friday. Tomas Urmanavičius, who has been working as a Chair of the Board of the Company, will temporarily take the lead.

The Board of Tetas has started the recruitment process for the new CEO, the appointment of which is expected to take place in June. Urmanavičius has suspended his position on the Board of the company and on Friday‘s meeting it was decided to temporarily delegate the position of the Chair of the Board to Ieva Kuodė, the member of the Board of Tetas and the Head of Planning and Development at EPSO-G.

According to Urmanavičius, Tetas and the whole EPSO-G company group is currently entering a new stage of activity, implementing the group Strategy 2030, which was approved last year, and continuing to generate revenues from non-regulated activities.

‘I want to thank Gediminas for his long years of work leading Tetas, especially given the fact that the times when he started were difficult for the company. The company, which at the time was experiencing operational losses and carrying out relatively simple infrastructure construction works, has successfully expanded its range of services, expanded its activities abroad and became profitable all thanks to Gediminas’ drive and creativity. Now Tetas is a developer of infrastructure objects of major importance to Lithuania and the efficiency of the significantly increased activities of the company and successful implementation of the started projects are now going to become priorities of the new CEO’, said Urmanavičius.

Tetas, which is a part of the EPSO-G company group, is currently implementing the development of synchronisation projects with the grids of continental Europe, which are of great importance to the energy independence of the country. The company is also one of the contractors used by EPSO-G to build a physical barrier at the border with Belarus.

‘The Board of the company and I have been discussing the company’s future directions and phases of development for some time now. In April, the company has started operating under the new organizational structure that we have developed together with the Board. At the same time, I took the decision to use my experience in other areas of activity’, said Mažeika.
